September/October 2022

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the High Holiday season of the 5783 New Year. Chabad of Calabasas is excited to invite the community to its 19th annual Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, Baruch Hashem! As usual, everyone is welcome to join, with no experience, membership, expertise or payments necessary.

This is a special year - a Hakhel year! Every seven years we celebrate Hakhel. In Temple times, the Jewish king was commanded by G‑d to invite EVERYONE to Jerusalem - men, women and children from wherever Jews lived in the world. There he would recommit the People to unity and united devotion to G‑d and one another. Today we are missing the Temple, but the theme of togetherness and united devotion remains, strong as ever. Thus, this year it is especially important that we get together as often as possible, beginning of course with the High Holidays, launching a year of togetherness and love, blessings, health and happiness for one and all.

Please peruse the schedule and reservation and donation options below.

Please give joyously and boldly to the High Holiday Appeal and help us reach our goal of $75,000. THANK YOU!

A special program for children will be featured at every major holiday service. Details to follow. The whole family is invited to Shul!

Ktiva Vachatima Tova - Lshana Tova Umetukah: Wishing a sweet new year to you and your loved ones!
